Feli Lacorte

Feli Lacorte earned her Bachelor's degree from Ateneo de Davao University in 1992 with a State Scholarship. Later, an AusAID scholarship in 2004-2005 allowed her to pursue a Master's degree in Social Administration at the University of Queensland Australia. 

After 16 years with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the Philippines serving as a Social Worker, Feli migrated to Australia in 2008. 

In Australia, she expanded her expertise across government agencies in QLD and NSW. As a Multicultural Coordinator, Feli aided humanitarian entrants and community organizations, facilitating their sustainable settlement and employment in Southeast Queensland. 

While in Australia, Feli acquired a Graduate Diploma in Human Services and Community Development (UQ), a Diploma in Small Business (TAFE QLD), and undertook units in a Graduate Diploma in Migration Law (ANU). Feli is passionate about assisting refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and Filipinos in Queensland, helping them with employment and educational opportunities.

In 2018, Feli founded Flaglines Pty Ltd, serving as a Managing Director, facilitating employment for Filipino skilled workers and international students across Australia. As the Vice President of the Filipino-Australian Business, Industry and Communities Council of Queensland (FABICCQ) Inc as well as Vice President of Filipino Communities Council of Australia  Inc (FILCCA), Feli champions policy advocacy, supporting regional employers in workforce recruitment and placement.
