Elsa Collado is a Dentist by profession and have worked as Palace Dentist at the Office of the President Malacanang Clinic Manila Philippines for 15 years before she and her young family of four migrated to Australia in 1993 as Independent Migrants.
Elsa entered the Australian workforce in 1996 after completion of some courses related to her field in Oral Health. She’s been with the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) NSW Health up to the present for 28 years now. She managed two Oral Health Clinics at the Ryde/Macquarie local health district serving eligible population at this multicultural diverse community in Oral Health Service NSW Health.
Elsa is very passionate in serving the community not only for the Filipino Australian community but the mainstream multicultural community Australia. She is currently the President (Founding) of Lakas Filipina Incorporated, a non-for-profit women’s organisation with a strong advocacy of promoting leadership and growth of women as individuals. A dedicated advocate for the Philippine community having been elected twice to lead the peak umbrella body of Filipino Australian community organisations in NSW in 2010 and 2013 – the Philippine Community Council of New South Wales; and also associated with several community organisations.
Moving forward and counting years, her heart dictates to continue of her passion in serving and giving back to the community and the people she loves most: her Family, the Filipino community and the mainstream Australia. Indeed a Filipina with a big heart.
